Christmas In Dixie

My mom's fireplace with our stockings

Matt and I spent this Christmas in Alabama with my family. When we got married, the only way we figured holidays would work is by rotating years. We were in FL for Thanksgiving, so we spent Christmas in Bama and next year it will be the opposite. Matt couldn't get off work as early as I did, so I rode up with our Pastor's. Mrs. Jennifer's parents live in Mississippi and they pass right by my mom's exit when they drive up there, so they offered me a ride so I could have an extra 4 days with my mom. Thanks again Pastor Ryan!!! I got there at 6am on Friday the 19th. Of course I went to sleep because I was exhausted. Mom and I went grocery shopping and did some Christmas shopping! We baked Christmas Tree cookies and just hung out.

One of my best friends from high school, along with her husband and 2 boys, came over to my mom's to play Catch Phrase and just hang out. It was so great getting to spend time with all of them. It was the first time I met Preston, the baby! What an angel baby...all he does it lay in your arms and look at you with a smile.

My Aunt Lisa, Uncle Mark, and cousins came down the day after Christmas. My brother, and my cousin Cody, got Guitar Hero World Tour. It is one of the funnest games I have ever played. We had a blast with it. After a while of playing, I went shopping with my mom, Caitlin, and Aunt Lisa. It was fun to get the girl's out of the house and talk.

My mom got us a "House Divided Tag" for my car
